抄録 | The article focuses on the Buddhist concept of learning and knowledge in the Chinese tradition which was described in the scripture "?ūraṃgama Sūtra." It describes how the possession of extensive knowledge, symbolized by Buddha's chief attendant, ?nanda, was denounced and ridiculed. It also analyzes how the scripture provides a remedy for ?nanda's symptom of "knowing too much." |
