抄録 | 本篇論文以收錄於巴利《中部》的〈念處經〉為研究主題,探討四念處禪法的理論與實踐,文中兼以當代緬甸馬哈希系統禪法為實例,論及四念處禪法實踐的相關問題。 論文共分六章。第一章緒論部分,敘述撰寫本篇論文的動機、學界研究情形、研究目的、文獻資料及研究方法,最後,介紹整篇論文的組織架構。第二章,對原始佛教的四念處法門,作一個思想背景介紹。第三章,對主題〈念處經〉作探討,以了解四念處法門的實踐方法與內在理論基礎。第四章,比較漢、巴〈念處經〉文獻的歧異。第五章,以緬甸馬哈希念處毗婆舍那禪法為例,考察當代四念處禪法的實踐情形。第六章結論,總結本篇論文所探討的內容,並記述後續的可能研究方向。 研究結果顯示,作為佛教重要修行法門之一的「四念處」,在原始佛教教理體系中,有著完備的教義基礎。〈念處經〉即依四念處的理論,建立一套次第井然的滅苦方法,完整地陳述四念處法門的內容與要旨,這是透過安住於身、受、心、法四個念處,如實隨觀五蘊身心的生滅變化,以了知無常、苦、無我而循序開發內觀智慧的一行道。就文獻角度而言,即使漢、巴〈念處經〉經文有若干歧異,但這正好提供了客觀探討南、北傳佛教禪法教學的資料來源。就實踐層面來說,以當代緬甸馬哈希系統禪法為例,此派植基於三藏典籍,而於禪修技巧上作適性的發揮,整體而言,其對於四念處法門的深厚實踐功夫,為佛法的修道理論作了有力的註腳,此發展是值得肯定的。
This study focus on the satipatthana Sutta in Majjhima Nikaya , discusses the theory and practice of the satipatthanameditation. It also takes the meditative method of Mahasi Sayadaw in modern Myanmar as an example. There are six chapters in this study. The first chapter includes the motive for this study, the harvest of modern Buddhist research, the materials, the approach and the structure of this dissertation. The second chapter introduces the background of satipatthanameditation in early Buddhism. The third chapter explores the practical method and the foundation of theory in satipatthana Sutta. The forth chapter compares the Chinese text with Pali text of Satipa satipatthana Sutta. The fifth chapter introduces the satipatthana vipassana meditation of Mahsi Sayadaw to understand how the satipatthanaSutta be practiced in modern Buddhism. The final chapter gives a conclusion and the further study in the furture. The result of this study proclaims that: the four foundation of mindfulness in early Buddhism has perfect theoretical foundation. Satipa h?na Sutta comprehensively shows the direct way to extinction of suffering. That is to be mindful of body, feeling, mind and dhamma, observe the arising and vanishing of physical- psychological phenomena as it is to realize anicca, dukkha, and anatta in pa–ca-khandh?, then to gain insight wisdom to liberation. As far as the versions of literature is concerned, the difference between the P?li and Chinese text provides the resource to discuss the correctness of satipa h?na meditation. The method of satipa h?na vipassan? mediataion of modern Mah?si Sayadaw, takes the P?li traditation as it’s basis, brings the skill of Satipa h?na Sutta into full play, and comprehensively shows the essence of Satipa h?na Sutta to people in the modern world.
