| 抄録 | 根據大乘佛教，發心（發菩提心）是修學菩薩道的必要 條件之一。然而，發心的先決條件為何？又，此先決條件是 先天已然具足？或者靠後天的修持而產生？以上問題，將是 本文探究之議題。本文認為，對於修學菩薩道而言，發心具 有雙重意義，既是動機也是行動，發心是持續修學菩薩道行 為之「動機」，也是激發佛種性，使佛種性產生修學菩薩道行 為之「行動」。本文將以《菩薩地持經》為文本，探討此經對 種性及發心在修學菩薩道之行為過程中的定義和定位，及種 性、發心與菩薩道修學行為三者之間的關係，輔以人本主義 心理學家亞伯拉罕．馬斯洛 (Abraham Harold Maslow，1908 －1970)的動機理論提到動機與人格的關係，說明《菩薩地持 經》的發心行為生起之潛在可能性，及引發發心修學菩薩道之「動機」。透過馬斯洛的動機心理學之學理的輔助說明，於 未來打開佛學和心理學之間，在世間法的層次上，彼此交流 或對話的可能性。
Faxin 發心, fa putixin 發菩提心, or arousing the mind of intention to achieve enlightenment, is required for a practice of bodhisattva path. However, what is a cause that inspires faxin to arise? Is the cause innate? Or, is it acquired through a practice of bodhisattva path? These questions are issues that the paper will explore. As for a practice of bodhisattva path, the paper suggests that faxin contains double meanings, which are motivation and action. Faxin in terms of maintaining a practice of bodhisattva path is considered as “motivation.” Faxin in terms of inspiring buddhaseed, or fozhong xing 佛種性, to form a practice of bodhisattva path is considered as “action.” The paper will focus discussions on meanings and roles of zhongxing 種性, or seed nature, and faxin of bodhisattva path of the Bodhisattvabhūmi-sūtra, as well as the relationship among zhongxing, faxin and the practice of bodhisattva path. Furtherly, the potentiality of faxin as well as the “motivation” of faxin of the sutra will be explained in reference to Abraham H. Maslow’s (1908－1970) theory of motivation, in particular to the relationship between motivation and personality. The paper hopes to open a possibility to have some dialogue between Buddhism on the level of saṃsāric world and Psychology in the future. |
