廿年有成 -- 馬來西亞東禪佛教學院之教學特色與學習成效=Two decades of achievements: The educational features and learning outcomes of F.G.S. Dong Zen Buddhist Institute in Malaysia
F.G.S. Dong Zen Buddhist Institute in Malaysia, one of Fo Guang Shan Tsunglin college, was established in March 1996. This Buddhist institute, located in Selangor, Malaysia, is adopted a half year schooling and another half year doing overseas tour course. It is mainly for 18-35 year-old unmarried youth, who have received high school certification. This article explores the educational features and learning outcomes in "Life education" from the educational philosophy and methods of F.G.S. Dong Zen Buddhist Institute. This paper is divided into four parts: the first is the preface, including research questions and a general overview of Dong Zen Buddhist Institute. The second part is about the educational features. I will analyze the curriculm design and teaching contents in this Buddhist institute to know how they passed the "Meaning of Life" to students? The third is about the learning outcomes. I will continue to explore the students' thinking process and feedback. Finally the conclusion summarize the specific characteristic and achievements in "Life education" of Dong Zen Buddhist Institute.
