Partly of the Mahua Buddhist prose contain the thought and interest of Zen.They are full of Buddhist values and literary values work. This paper examines seven authors, Li Jia Xiang, Huang Xue Ming, Lin Jin Cheng, Shen Ming Xin, Ho NaiKin, Duo La, Ye Qiu Hong, and Liang Fang, the thought of Zen in their work and the relation between them and Zen. The research shows that these authors have expressed some thought of Zen such as no ego, absence of false ideas or thoughts, emptiness, natural, ordinary mind, living at the present moment in their work. Few of them working in Buddhist culture institution, while other show their preference on Zen and the way they practise the Zen. Authors have been influenced by Zen in the aspect of life aesthetic values, life and death view, world view, and nature ecological view.
