By carrying out the policy of Chinese Reformation & Open-door, as well as the freedom for religious belief, more and more Chinese people choose Religious belief. Among them, Tibetan Buddhism should not be ignored, especially Dzogchen began to show out her secret face. Science 20-30th of 20 century, the attraction of Dzogchen have been affecting a lot of Chinese scholars and monks, during this period, lots of Tibetan Buddhism colleges and temples have been set up. After 1980’, Dzogchen’s re-popularity in mainland and Taiwuan attracted the concerns of all circles. In despite of this, when Tibetan Buddhism Dzogchen encounter Han cultural, it met various obstructions and challenges. Different cultural traditions, different historic heritages, different religious rituals, there are the discrepancy and contradictions when Dzogchen transmitting in han areas, or han people learning Dzogchen. To get better understanding and correspond with Tibetan Buddhism, especially Dzogchan is the issue that Scholars and Anthropologists need to concern. This thesis is based on the theory of Religious Anthropology. I visited Tibetan Lama Renzhen-langjia Rinpoche in winter of 2003 and 2004, when he was in Guangdong province with his disciples. Langjia Rinpoche is the president of Guru Monastery in Ganzi Tibetan autonomous county in Sichuan province and had been invited by his disciples to Gougzhou. I had participated their Buddhist activities and had done many fieldwork. So I explored the issue on one-to-one interviews, participate observations, and historical literatures. These is a contemporary Religion Anthropology Research, focusing on Religion Anthropology research methods and intend to explore the points of Tibetan Buddhism transmission and development in Han areas. To explore the points of contradictions when the Han ethnic encounter "Tibetan Buddhism" which had grown up in different ethnic cultural background, the contradictions from the cultural, traditions and rituals. I try to base on the vision of Anthropology, to be concerned about the Other's cultural and ethnic, then to introspect the Self's society and cultural, hoping that the different cultural, different religions, different sects in the same religion could exist in harmony. I explored in these thesis four major issues, first the transmission in various rituals. Second, the main believes, third the main cultivation in Dzogchen, fourth, explored the "freedom animals" actives, compared the rituals, systems, and doctrines analyzed the religion and social functions of Tibetan Buddhism.
