The objectives of this study are to discuss the psychological process of meditation, and to examine the effects of meditation on the emotional quotient (EQ). Three stages were held in this study. The first stage was references review and scales design of emotional quotient and conscious stability. The second stage was conducted by a questionnaire survey, a total of 421 participants (185 participants of experienced meditation employees, and 236 participants with no experienced) were surveyed. Data analyses show that meditation had a significant effect on the EQ measures for the experienced meditation employees. The third stage was to establish the psychological process model of meditation according to conscious stability the dimensions of EQ (emotion in the self, emotion control in the self, emotion management in the self, emotion in others, sympathy, and human relation management). The hypothesis was tested by LISREL analysis and the results were discussed in this paper.
