From Eastern Jin Dynasty, people had lived in a difficult life. Xin-xing, the founder of San-jie-jiao in Sui Dynasty, raised an issue on Wu-jin-zang. He tried to find a way to help the poor solve their poverty, and hoped to help people be able to have a better life in their next incarnation by carrying out Wu-jin-zang. The concept of Wu-jin-zang was soon successful and became popular at that time. The government and the people accepted it easily. Because of the donation from people, temples accumulated huge property. The monks used the property in three ways: (1) To mend the temples. (2) To donate the poor. (3) To make offerings to the monks. However, San-jie-jiao existed only for over three hundred years, and then it was disappeared. The main reason is that the emperors were afraid of its great influence and forbade its religious activities. Although San-jie-jiao was no more appeared, its concept of Wu-jin-zang still affected later generations and its special religious activities were still impressed.
