In this work, based on some related researches of usability evaluation in religious websites, we first develop a usability evaluation model, which includes four perspectives – interface design, content usability, Layout design, and Interactive interface, and thirty-five evaluation items in total. We randomly select 30 Buddhist believers as the object of study. The important findings of this investigation are as follows. Overall, there is no big issue of usability of the Corporation of Hwa Dzan Society website. However, some problems need to be corrected to improve the website usability. (1) There are too many items in the website homepage. It needs to be re-organized and downsized. (2) Some functions, such as a forum or a chatroom, shall be added to improve the interactivity among users. (3) Some visual feedback functions are needed. For example, the color of hyperlinks shall be changed after clicking.
