The full name of Lianghuang Baoch’an is Tz’upei Daoch’ang Ch’anfa, this repentance has been spread for thousands of years as the best repentance of Buddhism and is one of the most respected repentance, also a treasury between life and death. Therefore, people are able to improve the social stability by helding this ritual, and dedicate the merit to believers. This thesis analyzed the content of the ritual Lianghuang Baoch’an , the historical background, the meaning of the repentance and the music of the ritual. In the current Taiwan’s society, Lianghuang Baoch’an is widely used by most of the Buddhism ritual. We are looking forward to make the believers understanding the meaning of Lianghuang Baoch’an and also the ritual by this thesis, so people are able to live a better life.
