Teaching human beings how to get benefit and happiness, Buddha brought light and hope into the earthly world. Venerable Master Hsing Yun followed the concept of his teacher, Venerable Master Tai Hsu, and formed his original idea: Humanistic Buddhism. Venerable Master Hsing Yun has always believed and obeyed the object that Buddhism is the foundation and social activities are the implementation. He has put into practice the real world career with the spirit of renouncing the world. Venerable Master Hsing Yun has been enthusiastically advancing Buddhistic culture, education, charity, and Dharma. He is the founder of the Fo Guang Shan International Buddhist Order, which is headquartered in Taiwan and supports temples and schools worldwide. The community college of Fo Guang Shan Miao-li Da-ming Temple was also established under such a circumstance. That completely explained Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s Humanistic Buddhism. The dissertation cross-comparisons, analysis, field survey, and overallinvestigations on how Buddha’s International Association Miao-li Teachers’ Branch observes Master Hsing Yun’s educational concepts of “Humanistic Buddhism” and on how it omplements that in its temple activities and community university exercises through profound interviews and cultural heritage data anlysis. Great emphasizes are placed on “a concern for and purification of this time, this place and this person”, “lifelong education”, “multiple intelligence”, “university communtization”, and spirit lifting and eyeview boadening”. This paper also investigates Master Hsing Yun’s propagation of “Humanistic Buddhism” educational concepts, he being highly praiseddomestically and abroad, and his influences on all circles.
