This dissertation attempts to explore views on the dharma of precepts in the Huayan Sutra based on Shianshou Fatzang’s standpoint and exposes the representation of precepts in the Huayan Sutra and the significance of precepts in the Huayan path of practice. In terms of research approach, the ti(體), shiang(相)and yung(用)are used as the core, and the different stages of shin(信), ju(住), shing(行), huei(迴), and di(地)of Huayan cultivation as the object, and the Sixty Volumes of Huayan Sutra and Tan Shiuan Ji(探玄記)as the core document of discussion. It is intended to highlight the the dharma of precepts of Huayan, to construct the aspect of precepts in Huayan''s overall cultivation, to outline the Huayan stipulation that feature the progressive cultivation path of the Three Vehicles, and unimpeded ease of precept practice of the One Vehicle. To sum up, the purpose is to chart up the map of the precetps in Huayan, thus revealing the practice of precepts through the perspective of Shianshou Fatzang.
