The "health" pursued by modern people is no longer just to cure diseases, but to achieve a more comprehensive positive development and balance of body, mind and spirit. Since the innovative argument that "environmental space affects a person's health and spiritual well-being" was presented at the "Medical Care Design" seminar held in San Diego, California, in 1989, research by many scholars has also continuously confirmed that adding healing elements to the environment can effectively improve the physical and mental condition of individuals. Therefore, the concept of "healing space" is widely used in the research and application of medical institutions, nursing homes, residential spaces for the elderly. After the outbreak of the Covid-19 in 2019, human beings are also facing the destruction and intrusion of various natural and man-made disasters. People living in such a turbulent time, visiting temples, churches and other religious sites has become a daily activity for many people. It is worth thinking about that, in addition to seeking spiritual comfort and peace through religious beliefs, does the actual religious environment also meet the healing elements that a "healing space" should have, so as to be of substantial help in maintaining human physical and mental health? Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the components of the healing space in "religious field". The research method is based on reviewing the literature to understand the relevant discourses and cases of scholars on the characteristics of "healing space" in recent years, and then try to summarize and propose six elements that a healing space in religious fields should have, including that"time and space that can calm the mind", "integrated into the natural environment", "health and comfort", "beauty full of culture and art", "shelter and peace", "identity and belonging". Furthermore, by visiting the case study - Cifa Zen Temple, analyzing the characteristics of its environment and space, and using questionnaires to compare the survey results of the respondents' actual feelings, for the purpose to confirm the components of the healing space in the religious field. It is hoped that the research result can be used as a reference to assist the religious field in constructing a healing space in the future.
