This thesis analyses “the Study of Incorporating Morality into Today’s Youth - The V-Star (The Virtuous Star) Change the World Programme founded by Phra Dhammakaya Temple in Thailand.” The study uses an anonymous questionnaire surveying participants at random selection. The questionnaire covers two main topics as follow: 1. Basic knowledge of morality prior to the programme, 2. Personality descriptions - before and after the programme. What they learn from participation. Due to the rapidly growing environment and the forever-developing technology humanity has had its much influential effects resulting in change in perspectives and lifestyles. Buddhism and its teachings have always been a part of Thai community but, through time, has become more of a myth than a practicing routine. It is of great importance that Buddhism is once again incorporated into today’s generation, in a way that addresses its way of life. The Noble Eightfold Path is Lord Buddha’s guide to end sufferings. The V-Star Programme adopts the Path into its programme including both theory and practical aspects using the modern society’s examples, as well as showing its causes and effects. The Noble Eightfold Path can be incorporated into everyday life by way of familiarity and making it into a routine. It will nuture one’s mind with increasing wisdom and clarity. The Eightfold Path holds many important answers in life; when a person’s mind and body are in sync in a great way, he reflects it in his actions within the community. The study into programmes such as the V-Star has given insights on how to positively connect and teach disciplines, respect and endurance to the ever-changing generations, in order to protect and prolong the morality that is Budhhism for many generations to come.
