The main purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between a Health-Promoting Lifestyle and Happiness on Meditators, and further analyzes the interaction between social demographic characteristics, Health-Promoting Lifestyle and Happiness. Meditators from Eastern Taipei were used as the object of study, through purposive sampling methods and structured questionnaire surveys. The questionnaire could be filled out on paper or online. A total of 159 effective samples were obtained from all of the study‘s subjects. The major findings are as follows: 1.The Health-Promoting Lifestyle was associated with “marital status”, “number of children” and “self-perceived health status"". To examined the subscales of the Health-Promoting Lifestyle, “levels of economic consciousness” was the significant predictor. The impact scale includes five items: ""self-actualization"", ""health responsibility"", ""physical activity"", ""stress management"" and ""nutrition"". 2.The ""educational background"", ""levels of economic consciousness"", and ""self-perceived health status"" of the research objects have significant differences in Happiness, and are highly correlated with ""self-perceived health status"". 3.There was a positive significant correlation between the Health-Promoting Lifestyle and Happiness, as well as “self-realization"", ""health responsibility"", ""physical exercise"", ""stress management"", ""nutrition"", ""interpersonal support.” “Self-actualization” and Happiness were particularly positively correlated. 4.The study of the Health-Promoting Lifestyle could predict the degree of Happiness and explain 40.8% of total variance. ""Self-realization"" and ""interpersonal support"" were the main predictors. The results of the study could be used to provide relevant suggestions for health promotion and to improve the physical, mental, and spiritual health of people.
