放生源自於佛法慈悲精神的體現,有著淵遠流長的思想傳承,社會 上,亦行 之有年,但經過時代演進改良,社會上仍有許多疑義。例如 以戒殺、素食、環境 保護能否取代放生行為,放生即是放死,放生是 否為是商業行為,動機是否正當 良善之問題。本論文係針對存在之爭 議議進行探究,分析台灣佛教團體放生實踐 之問題與困境,是來自環團、動保團的反對聲音。又是否因東西方思想、文化, 立基點的不同, 造成的矛盾衝突。還是根本錯解,甚至刻意扭曲了放生意義與行為。 透過存在的爭議,經思辨與反證,釐清放生疑義,提供觀點與回應,並 反思 如何更加優化放生行為,因應現代社會之放生作法,並論 述從佛 法思想中,核心 思想的慈悲護生觀,引導啟發大眾,生命平等、愛護 生命的慈悲情操。 透過文獻探討中國佛教戒殺、不食肉與放生思想,接續從歷史發展與社會脈 絡結合說明,找出漢傳佛教以及藏傳佛教放 生思想的演變路徑,及如何成為佛教 的重要儀式活動,並探討戒殺, 素食、放生之思想層次與屬性之差異。 Life release originates from the embodiment of the compassionate spirit of Buddhism and has a long history of ideological inheritance. It has been practiced in society for many years. However, after the evolution and improvement of the times, there are still many doubts in society. For example,whether the practice of animal release can be replaced by abstinence from killing, vegetarianism, and environmental protection? Release of animals means release of life. Whether it is a commercial act and whether the motivation is legitimate and good. This paper explores the existing controversies and analyzes the problems and dilemmas in the practice of life release by Taiwanese Buddhist groups. It is the opposition voice from environmental groups and animal protection groups. And whether there are conflicts caused by the differences in Eastern and Western thoughts, cultures, and starting points. It is still a fundamental misunderstanding, or even a deliberate distortion of the meaning and behavior of release. Through existing controversies, through speculation and counter evidence, it clarifies doubts about life release, provides opinions and responses, and reflects on how to optimize life release behavior and adapt to the practice of life release in modern society. It also discusses the concept of compassion and care for life as the core idea in Buddhist thought. Guide and inspire the public with the compassionate sentiment of equality of life and love for life. This article explores the Chinese Buddhist thoughts of abstaining from killing, not eating meat, and releasing animals through literature, and then combines the historical development and social context to find out the evolution path of the thoughts of releasing animals in Chinese Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism, and how it became an important ritual activity in Buddhism, and Discuss the differences in ideological levels and attributes of abstinence from killing, vegetarianism, and animal release.
