每個人生命中都存在著各種苦痛的經驗,從切身苦痛經驗到生命療癒,都曾經歷一些過程。本論文以個人從事慈濟志工經驗為例,試著去探討此一歷程,分別從個己生命經驗描述、接觸慈濟後的生命昇華與轉化、反思「慈濟療癒模式」如何可行及其特色。本文即是依此三個層次循序開展之。 首先,以自己生命故事為開端,敘述我的哀傷之旅,從一個自小父母備受關照,到結婚又感受先生疼惜的幸福家庭,因先生成植物人而頓失「家」的依靠,以及身為照顧植物人的家屬,一路以來的身心負荷、起伏與應對之心路歷程,又在照顧過程中,因與公公互動不良,想要在生死裂縫中尋找出口,以安慰破碎、無助的心靈。 其次,探討墜入無底深淵下的行動改變,個己如何透過參與慈濟而踏上療癒之旅,如慈濟推動的《慈悲三昧水懺》演繹、《靜思語》、書寫日記、慈濟社區讀書會法繹導讀、大愛媽媽校園說故事、環境教育宣導、訪視…等活動,讓自己困頓的生命得以轉化而重新站起,尋得一線生機。 接著,透過筆者多年深入慈濟「做中學、學中覺、覺中悟」之利他實踐,反覆的覺知與觀察,從中進行描述、探討、歸納和分析,試著詮釋慈濟療癒機制及療癒模式的可行性與可靠性。 此外,本研究進一步探討「慈濟療癒模式」的含攝因素,從「法師的德行」、「語言的魅力」、「女性志工培力增能」、「志工實踐與療癒的關係」等,試著把握慈濟自他療癒模式之成因。 最後,在結論與反思中,以自身苦難中的生命體悟,藉由自己生命走入他人生命,認識佛教自他療癒之可能模式,探討為什麼療癒他人同時也是自我療癒,其中包括利己與利他關係之論述等。 Facing various hardships during a lifetime, everyone undergoes an entire period of recovery repeatedly. This thesis, based on my personal experiences as a Tzu-Chi volunteer, tries to demonstrate the transformation from a disastrous life to an exceptional one, to reflect the viability and the characteristics of the “Tzu-Chi Healing Model”. First, I’ll introduce you my personal life. My early life was beautiful, as I enjoyed much love from my parents and later, my husband. Unfortunately, my happy life suddenly ended when my husband fell into the persistent vegetative state. I started to take over all the responsibilities of taking care of the family and my husband. From a care receiver to a care giver, I had endured a prolonged suffering physically and mentally. Further, with a lack of good communications with my father-in-law, I yearned for an exit from the chasm between life and death to comfort my broken and hopeless heart. Secondly, I’ll show you what actions I took at the bottom of my life. I started volunteering at Tzu Chi and kicked off my healing journey. As I took part in Tzu Chi activities, such as the illustration of Compassion Samadhi Water Repentance Dharma Assembly, the teaching of Jing Si Aphorism, the community study circle, storytelling to kids in the schools, education in environment, home visits the poor…etc. I finally stood up from a hard life and found a way to survive. Thirdly, I’ll reflect what I’ve observed and perceived the practice of Tzu Chi altruism──Learning from doing, inspiring from learning, and enlightening from inspiring. I would like to demonstrate the Tzu Chi Healing Systems as well as prove the accessibility and accountability of the healing model, based on a series of story-telling, discovery, inductive reasoning, and analysis. Further, this research will identify the ingredients of Tzu Chi Healing Model, which include the virtue of Dharma Master Cheng Yen, charisma of language, empowering female volunteers, and volunteering practice. In the conclusion and reflection, I would use the inspiration from my own suffering, entrance to others’ lives, and the give-and-take healing models of Buddhism, to explain why while healing others, one can be healed as well.
