摘要
傳統文獻分析法的思想研究受限於人力物力，對於小量可掌握的文獻不難得到完整而深刻的分析，但對於龐大的文獻集，則不容易進行全面徹底的分析，因此難以得到全貌性與系統性的結論。數位人文克服傳統限制，可以對所有相關文獻有效率地進行徹底的分析，看出文獻間的關聯或互文性，在歷時性與共時性上得出更全貌而完整的結論。因此數位人文已然成為思想研究重要的輔助工具與研究方法。 聖嚴思想收錄於《法鼓全集》共一百冊，寫作時間歷史半個世紀，因此傳統的聖嚴思想研究僅能就特定主題做有限的分析研究，難以全面深入地探討其思想脈絡。《法鼓全集》2020紀念版是豐富完善的第一手善本，但著作繫年表未臻完善，文章分類受限於輯別分類，難以提供文章的真正聚焦的主題。本研究透過數位人文取徑，以《法鼓全集》2020紀念版網路版數位文本為基底，理出完整的著作繫年表，為聖嚴思想發展脈絡提供更清晰的時間框架，並以非監督式機器學習來訓練出原有輯別分類外的主題模型，為聖嚴思想理路提供更全面的內容框架。 此研究成果具有重要意義，為聖嚴思想研究提供全新的時間向度與內容向度，融合新舊方法，補足原有研究缺憾，開拓全新視野與方向，為深入理解其思想貢獻了新思路的可能性。 In terms of intellectual history, the traditional method of textual study is limited by human and material resources. Although it is not difficulty to conduct a thorough and in-depth analysis in the case of textual study of small amount, however, when dealing with textual study of a humongous amount, it is difficult to yield a complete and satisfying result. Digital humanities overcome traditional limitations, enable researchers to efficiently and thoroughly analyze through the tire corpus of texts to study showing their inter-textuality, and thus yield a more comprehensive and complete result both diachronically and synchronically. Digital Humanities, therefore, has developed useful tools and methods in complimenting the field of Humanities. Master Sheng Yen’s thought results in 100-volume of writings of the Complete works of Master Sheng Yen and the writings lasted half a century. Therefore, most of the current studies of Master Sheng Yen’s thought are limited in scopes and themes. A more comprehensive, detailed, and accurate textual and contextual analysis is still needed for a more complete understanding of Master Sheng Yen’s thought. The 2020 Memorial Edition of Complete works of Master Sheng Yen is a comprehensive and well-organized primary source, but the chronological table of works is not perfect, and the classification of articles is limited by the genre classification, making it difficult to effectively screen out relevant articles by topic. This study uses digital humanities approaches, based on the digital text of The 2020 Memorial Edition of Complete works of Master Sheng Yen on the Internet, to create a complete chronological table of works, providing a clearer time frame for the development of Sheng Yen's thought. It also uses unsupervised learning to train new topic models that go beyond the existing genre classifications, providing a more comprehensive content framework for Sheng Yen's thought. The results of this study are significant. They provide a new temporal and content dimension for Sheng Yen's thought research, integrating new and old methods, filling the gaps in previous research, opening up new perspectives and directions, and contributing new possibilities for a deeper understanding of his thought.
