Venerable Zhiyu was a great philosopher and practitioner in the Buddhist circles. He had more than sixty series of publication, and was a guidepost that has brought enlightenment to contemporary development of Buddhism in Taiwan, especially in enhancing and glorifying the thought of Pure Land and the cultivation aspect. Among the several eminent monks in modern times, he was the one of an extensive and far-reaching influence on Buddhism. Venerable Zhiyu had written many books all his life.
