Everything in the world, big or small, has its reason and consequences, which go hand in hand. Karma is the basic theory of Buddhism explaining the relationship of everything in the world. Since East Han Dynasty, it is combined with the good and evil retribution concept and Confucian thoughts, deep rooted in person's mind and generated profound influences. The “Three Lifetime Karma” theory proposed by Master Huiyuan in East Jing Period is the most familiar and known literature. “Three Karmas Theory” and “Retribution Theory” collected in the“Hong— Ming Chi” are two articles with deeper explanation. This research plans to find, with literature analysis, the changes of “Tiendow Concept,” “Lucky Theory,” and “Bear Theory” of karma in Chinese history from the letters among Master Huiyuan and the scholars of that time. Furthermore, this research explores the process of conflict and merging of karma and Confucian and Taoism. “Three Lifetime Karma” emphasizes on “self karmic” which indicates that the good and evil karma is not limited to one life time but is extended in the transmigration this life time, future life times to come. This theory maintains that good and evil comes with karma, which has current karma, life karma, and after life karma. Because it is connected and similar to the good and evil karma in Chinese folk society, karma theory is more persuasive and influential among people. Also, it is deep rooted in person's mind. This article discusses the positive influence and value of Chinese Buddhism Karma to the society. It is hoped that by discussing the karma, people can value the cause and effect and understand the principle of self-deserved.
