從佛教的「解脫觀」看人間佛教的實踐意義 以《雜阿含經》與星雲大師之著作為依據=The Practical Significance of Humanistic Buddhism through the Concept of Mokṣa in Buddhism: Based on the Samyuktāgama Sutra and the Writings of Venerable Master Hsing Yun
The paper discusses the doctrinal relationship between the concept of mokṣa (liberation) in Buddhism and Humanistic Buddhism as promoted by Venerable Master Hsing Yun. Through the classic Samyuktāgama Sutra, the form and content of mokṣa is sorted out, as well as the world of life from a Buddhist perspective. Additionally, a method of practice is given for all living creatures to be liberated from the sufferings of the world. After a discussion on these concepts, this paper moves on to examine whether Humanistic Buddhism, on the example of Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s writings and explanation, is consistent to the above system and thought of mokṣa. It is expected that the result could be a reference when practicing as a Buddhist in this mortal world.
