On the October 29-30, 2016, a conference held by Zhou Gui-hua on＂The Idealism of Master Buddhist Yin Shun: Reflection and Discussion＂at Huishan Temple in Wuxi, where Master Yin Shun was severely criticized and insulted, causing wide concern by the scholars and Buddhist circle, on both ＂Pro Yin Shun＂and＂Anti Yin Shun＂ sides, they have published several documents in a variety of platforms via internet. How do I see this unusual ＂conference＂? This paper attempts to observe the historical development of modern Buddhism from modern China and the cultural exchange from mainland China and Taiwan since 1949. The text is divided into several parts: point of view of the anti Yin Shun, Theory of Buddhism and ＂Complete Buddhism＂ led by Zhou Gui-hua, the analysis on the point of view of the anti Yin Shun, the analysis on the role of the Minnan Buddhist College in the ＂conference incident＂; further down the text it consists: The conference was a meticulously calculated occasion to criticize Master Yin Shun, as a matter of fact, Master Yin Shun has never been lack of criticism, the idealism of Master Yin Shun and the future development of mainland China, a review on Zhou Gui-hua and others on the ＂conference incident＂, an observation of the ＂follow-up＂ actions by Zhou Gui-hua and others; I hope that through the analysis above, it can explain the historical significance of the ＂conference incident＂ in the Chinese mainland Buddhism.
