從原始佛教的因果業報到六道輪迴的成立=Following is my translation for the topic of your thesis:From the Karma of cause and effect of Original Buddhism to the Establishment of the Reincarnation of Six Realms
The purpose of this thesis is to investigate into the ideas of cause and effect, karma and its retribution, based on Agama Sutra. These concepts have become important Buddhist educational theories. Even though there have been numerous studies on these aspects, yet scholars hold various opinions on them. Therefore, it is in the hope of this paper to come to a better understanding of the original idea of cause and effect and its transformation. The author hopes to awaken the lost sentient beings in our chaotic society. This study probes into the idea of cause and effect and its retribution in Agama Sutra, surveying from the Original Buddhism to the Sectarian Buddhism. The thesis contains 4 chapters. The first chapter is introduction. Chapter Two discusses the concept of karma in Original Buddhism. Sentient Beings’ reincarnation has close relation with karma. Countless karma growing or diminishing follows what people have done in these lives, and it forms the complicate life phenomena. Chapter Three explores the viewpoints of cause and effect and karma and its retribution of Original Buddhism, based on Mahakammavibhanga Sutra and Culakammavibhanga Sutra. It states that why many people enjoy abundant, satisfactory lives while others suffer a great deal of hindrances, such as poverty, difficulties, illness, and ignorance. Chapter Four researches the concept of reincarnation in the six realms according to Dirghagama Sutra and Loka Prajnapty Abhidharma. It discusses the reasons why some are reborn in the three good realms (those of Deva, Manusya, and Asura) while others are reborn in the three bad realms (that is, the realms of Hell, Hungry Ghost, and Beast). Chapter Five is Conclusion, which synthesizes discussions from the previous chapters and comes to the fruit of our study. The major goal of this research is to help sentient beings comprehend better the law of the world: “As you sow, so shall you reap—good results for good deeds, and vice versa.” When people start to be conscious of the nature of their jobs, whether good or bad, then will the chaos of our society dwindle to a less degree. As Buddhism claims that after our ignorance eliminated, then the liberation from reincarnation is possible. I therefore sincerely hope that all sentient beings grasp the truth, gain wisdom, and stay away from suffering.
