Abstract藏傳佛教是印度密教與我國藏族傳統文化融合而形成的地域性佛教。藏傳佛教造像以藏傳佛教特有的崇奉為表現對象,風格上以印度密教藝術為基本依據,同時融入了藏民族傳統審美和表現手法,是雪域高原的一朵藝術奇葩。藏傳佛教肇始於西元7世紀初,最初主要在西藏、青海等地的藏族聚居區傳播。直到元代,隨著西藏轄歸內地中央政府,開始傳入內地,此後在內地一直傳播不衰。北京作為元明清三代的首都,始終是藏傳佛教在內地傳播的中心。在元明清帝王的一致崇重下,藏傳佛教造像藝術活動分別在三代的宮廷開展起來,形成了各具特色的藝術風格
