Abstract五臺山佛教音樂是五臺山佛教的重要組成部分，它伴隨著五臺山佛教的發展而發展，唐時發展到鼎盛，形成了具有五臺山特點的佛教音樂，直到現在它還保存了古代大量的舊譜歌詞。因此說，五臺山佛教音樂是中華民族傳統音樂的「活化石」。
