AbstractIn order to use the Buddhist cultural contents in industrial purpose, not only the development of good contents but also the convenient user environment is needed.
In this paper, we introduce a multimedia framework, MPEG-21, which has been developing by ISO/IEC JTC1/SC29 as an international standard for the creation, distribution, trade and manipulation of multimedia contents in various usage environment. According to this standard, we suggest a structure for Buddhist Contents Object Identifier which is necessary for the efficient retrieval and copyright protection of multimedia contents.
