| Abstract | 淨土宗從開始萌芽到最後發揚光大,大體上經歷了三個不同的發展階段:第一階段,淨土念佛法門被其它佛教宗派融攝,淨土念佛只是佛教萬行中的一行。第二階段,禪淨雙修,禪宗開始吸納淨土宗的修行方法和思想理念。第三階段,攝禪歸淨,淨土宗開始吸收禪宗的修行方法和思想理念。經過這三個階段的發展,基本上完成了中國佛教的世俗化歷程。
