Abstract「十乘觀法」乃天台宗修圓頓止觀,於助道前行二十五方便修畢後,為正觀對象之軌範的十種觀法。所謂「十乘觀法」,乘者,車乘也,三諦之妙觀,為直到涅槃保所知大白牛車,故云乘。十乘云者,非有觀法十種,觀法唯觀不思意境之一,唯加資鄉融相攝之圓頓觀法,乃唯十乘。此時法之中,觀不思議境唯觀法之本體之正觀,上根者依此即足;若未能契證掌握此境者、或中根者,進而修第二至第七之觀法;至於下根者,則更修第八以下之觀法,亦即需修備十種觀法。本論文欲從二重論正進路來開展智者「十乘觀法」之中道圓頓義:首先,探究「十乘觀法」之意涵,分別從一、「十乘觀法」的意涵與觀禪,以及二、「十乘觀法」的圓頓道次第之詮釋,進而彰顯出,觀修圓頓止觀知法時,不漸次經歷從淺至深之階段,由初時即直緣實相當體,以開展出實相之外,更無別法可資體達之圓頓止觀之要義。其二,是「十乘觀法」的中道圓頓義的開展:從一、「十乘觀法」對觀修三昧於是理二觀之應用,及二、「十乘觀法」與「十境」的互融互攝之二重面向,進而論證以現量心觀現量境所顯之現觀直證「中道實相」超然絕待不可思議圓妙之境,來彰顯出「十乘觀法」位位圓頓,接相即不二的契入不可思議純圓獨妙之境,並証成智者所展開之中道實相圓頓-乘義之究竟與究極實現。
