Abstract中國正法、像法、末法三時思想的流行,肇始於陳·南岳慧思大師,基於《立誓願文》中強烈的末法思想,衍生對佛法即將隱沒,眾生將失大依怙的危機,而引發筆者欲探其末法危機之根源。一般的認知中佛般涅槃後,弟子展轉流布,歷經正法、像法、末法爾後佛法滅絕。待五十六億七千萬年後彌勒下生,龍華會上,再轉法輪。這種相似宿命的末法觀念,普遍存在於一般人心中。然在悲痛法滅之餘,佛陀仍為正法的久住而說了大陀羅尼咒,附屬十二萬大菩薩持法不滅…。由此可知末法不等同於法滅,雖處末法,但仍有其條件能避免法滅的厄運。身為佛弟子,正法久住世間,乃弟子們共同的始命。然從佛般涅槃後,卻有不計其數的考驗與磨難,展轉於弟子間。而如何在獅子身中不為獅子蟲,壞佛正法?也是筆者研究本文主要的關懷。再者從慧思大師之生平事蹟及其著作,深入了解撰寫《立誓願文》的時代因素與價值。又為因應此一末法危機的到來,隋唐諸師則皆有自己的相應挽救之道。
