弘揚人間佛教精神 構建中國和諧社會

Abstract筆者既不是佛門正宗弟子，亦非在家居士，但稟性則一好遊名剎古寺，對晨鐘暮鼓頌經禮佛，雖不能身至，心卻嚮往之；二好習佛法佛學，雖不能深入，但苦苦求索之。近二十多年來，我專研生死哲學，每每于佛教佛學中獲益匪淺，但也常常嘆息自己悟性低，根器淺，于佛法萬中不能窺其一。不過近十年來，因緣相湊，港臺許多大學、醫院和研究機構請我去演講生死智慧的有關問題，訪學之餘，我也抽暇去遊曆各大寺廟，觀感良多，感慨萬千，覺得佛教界要為當代中國構建和諧社會做出應有的貢獻，則必須大力弘揚人間佛教的精神，推進臨終關懷的事業。本文將從和諧社會理念內涵的闡述出發，談一談人間佛教的精神，並說明其與臨終關懷事業的緊密聯繫，求教于各位高僧大德。
