The Chan sect of the Yuan Dynasty generally advocates truly awakening through experience, sets more store by experience than sudden awakening, and leads sudden awakening of the Dhyana into natural cultivation, which indicates a return to early stage Chan sect of the Dhyana and its aesthetic ideology of the Yuan Dynasty Chan sect. The basic objective of the advocacy is appreciation of and freedom from anxieties about life and death and pursuit of poetic realm of life. Their life attitude reveals intense aesthetic meaning. In their inquiry into the mind and human nature, the Chan sect makes a definite theoretic condensation of the connotation of Dhyana in ontological category and a significant contribution to the philosophy and aesthetics of the Chan sect.
