Abstract | In Nepal,the concept of the Three Jewels, which are the Buddha, the Dharma (Buddhist teachings and behavioural code) and the Sangha (monastic community),is a core component of Newar Buddhist literature,ritual practices and art. The author discusses some distinct examples of Newar Buddhist art and religious practices for his analysis on how they serve to define and distinguish Newar Buddhism. |
