Abstract恩格斯指出:“辯證的思維——正因為它是以概念本性的研究為前提——只對于人才是可能的,并且只對于較高發展階段上的人(佛教徒和希臘人)才是可能的,而其充分的發展還晚得多,在現代哲學中才達到。”恩格斯的論斷對于我們研究原始佛教的辯證法思想是很有啟發的。原始佛教學說中蘊藏著豐富的辯證法因素,其中尤以“緣起”、“無常”兩說最為突出。本文擬根據記載原始佛教教義的漢譯主要經典——四《阿含》,對這兩說作一粗略分析。

By discussing the two doctrines the author tries to expound and provewhat is thought to be elements of dialectics in primitive Buddhism. He fullyaffirms the doctrines’ progressiveness and meanwhile points out their limita-tions and unthoroughness.
