Abstract本文在中印文化交流大背景下，著重探尋佛教藝術對中唐詩歌熏染影響的軌跡。作者認為，所謂的「牛鬼蛇神」，其本意乃是指佛教祭壇上的獰惡鬼神形象。它們自南亞隨佛法傳入中國，逐漸適應本土需要而至唐代極盛於時，致使韓愈，孟郊，盧同，李賀等人的詩均與之發生感觸相通，並有利於促成韓孟詩派尚怪風習的形成。
