Abstract佛法就是戒定慧三無漏學。修學佛法就是要持戒,修定,證慧。佛法中的一切法門,無不從定中修,亦無不從定中證。修學佛法而不講禪定,百無是處。佛教潛在危機,關鍵在不講三學,不修禪定,一缺師資,二乏人才,三欠教材,既無傳承,更少實證,故無法起修,不能求證,道風衰矣。子曰﹕「德之不修,學之不講,是吾憂也.」當今之機,當務之急,極需以圓融大小乘,圓融顯密教,圓融世出世法之精神,來弘揚佛法正定。爰本斯旨,根據歷年師說,參證諸家精萃,發願撰述《佛法禪定論》。原擬分甲、乙、丙三篇,即序論、正論、後論。甲篇序論主講何謂佛法禪定,考證禪定之源,對印度古代思想及佛教思想加以述要,對印度瑜伽禪定方法加以論述。鑒於持戒為修定之基,由戒生定,由定生慧,序論著重闡述佛法的戒律論。乙篇正論大要分為四部:一曰通論,講禪定之名相及分類,闡述如來禪概要,祖師禪概要,秘密禪概要。二曰專論,講禪定之性相及法要,闡述對色法之研究,息法之研究,心法之研究。三曰別論,分別講述各种專門修定法門,如念安般法門,般舟三昧法門……以至大手印,大圓滿法門等。四曰雜論,講佛法禪定與氣功之聯繫與區別,講佛家定功與道家丹功,儒家氣功及其他各家定功之關係。丙篇後論主講禪定,神通與人體科學,講佛法禪定與圓融氣功。講佛法禪定的證量。由於禪定的證量在證得般若波羅蜜多,著重闡述佛法的智慧論。並附以禪定漫談及回答及禪定典籍概述。考慮序論後論非禪定重點,故均略而不刊。僅出正論,以便切蹉交流,並乞不吝指正。
