Abstract「判教」是指對內容和風格多樣的佛典和佛理,加以界別和會通的工作。判教風氣是在東晉末年,隨多樣品的佛典和佛理紛紛傳入漢土,而開始形成,並在南北朝時期迅速開展,成當時中國佛教思想界的主課題。在隋唐時代,不同的佛教學派(如三論宗,天台宗,華嚴宗等)都各自建立自身的一套判教學說,其目的除在「界別」和「會通」外,更且是要通過辨別各類佛典出現時序的先後,及判定各門佛理層次的本末,以突出本派所根據的佛典和所宣揚的佛理之殊勝。
窺基(632-682)為法相學派的代表人物,法相學派是由玄奘創立,而窺基為玄奘的高弟,著述等身,中不少論及判教問題。本文以窺基的論議為根據,通過分析窺基所提出的主判教分類,說明法相學統的判教思想的特色。
