Abstract本研究旨在探討佛教團體推展成人教育時,如何依據佛教教育的根本理念,研擬課程規劃,以成辦教育志業或提升辦學品質,增益社會之良善成長。具體而言,本研究的進行為達成四項目的:一、探討佛教成人教育的基本意涵;二、分析課程規劃的取向與模式要素;三、瞭解臺灣地區佛教團體實施佛教成人教育課程規劃的現況;四、提出佛教成人教育課程規劃的理念,原則,要素與發展流程。
為達上述目的,本研究採用文獻分析與訪問調查法進行研究。經由前述研究方法所得結果,本研究獲致四項主要發現:
一、佛教團體長期以來一直扮演成人教育提供者的角色。
二、大多數佛教團體的課程規劃以機構的需求或資源為主要考量。
三、系統,次第的課程規劃更能引發成人學習動機或興趣。
四、師資來源是實施成人教育的重要因素。
依據研究目的及發現,本研究得到六項結論:
一、成人教育具備豐富而多元的特性。
二、佛教成人教育基於「眾生平等」理念開展其教育內涵。
三、從事課程規劃宜依據現況需求採行適當的課程取向。
四、課程規劃基本要素間互為關聯,連續與回饋的關係。
五、佛教團體依實施機構及其類型呈現各具特色的課程規劃。
六、佛教成人教育的課程規劃須掌握佛教教育的理念,原則及課程規劃的要素、
依據上述研究發現及結論,本研究對佛教團體提出下列四項建議:
一、因應教育趨勢,加強辦理成人教育。
二、顧及多方面的需求,採行適當的課程取向。
三、積極培養佛教成人教育師資。
四、以整體,系統的思考,促成課程規劃的完善。

This study explored how to make curriculum planning for Buddhist adult education base on Buddhist education's fundamental idea and enhance its quality to benefit society. Specifically, there were four purposes to guide this study:
(1) investigating the basic connotations of Buddhist adult education;
(2) analyzing various orientations and elements of curriculum planning;
(3) understanding the current situation of curriculum planning for Buddhist adult education in Taiwan; and
(4) presenting a fundamental idea, principles, elements and a developmental system of curriculum planning for Buddhist adult education.
To fulfill the above purposes, the methodology used in this study included literature analysis and semi-structured
interviews conducted in fifteen Buddhist institutions in Taiwan.
There are four findings from the research:
1. Buddhist communities have played the role as providers of adult education for a long time.
2. Most Buddhist institutions in this study proceed curriculum Planning based on the consideration of institutions' major needs and resources.
3. Systematized and structured curriculum planning could stimulate adults' motivation for learning.
4. Resources of teachers are among the critical factors in development of adult education.
Based on the research purposes and findings, the study came to six conclusions as follows:
1. Adult education possesses a characteristic of richness and multiplicity.
2. Buddhist adult education develops its contents from and bases on belief in equality of all lives.
3. Adopting proper orientations for curriculum planning based on the current situation is necessary.
4. There exist multiple relationships of interacting, continuing, and responding among various elements in curriculum planning.
5. Due to individual differences, Buddhist institutions display different features in their curriculum planning.
6. Curriculum planning for Buddhist adult education should grasp its idea, principles, and major elements.
According to the findings and conclusions, this study presents the following suggestions to Buddhist communities:
1. Enhance developing and conducting adult education to follow the current educational needs.
2. Take account of multiple needs of different sectors in adult education and thus adopt proper orientations in curriculum planning.
3. Strengthen training of teaching force for Buddhist adult education.
4. Apply holistic and systematic thinking to improving curriculum planning for Buddhist adult education.
