Abstract佛為何教空? 佛如何教空? 及佛所教的空是什麼? 關於這些問題其實可再收束成一個主命題:一切法空. 一切法空是中觀的根本立場,也是本篇論文所欲證成的命題. 此命題將在文中從三方面證成,其分別是第一子命題:無我是空:第二子命題:教法是空; 及第三子命題:緣起是空. 由此三者將能周全地說明一切法空的思想. 並藉此將這繁複的思惟與嚴謹的推論推向由龍樹所試圖展現的導致究極真實之宗教實踐道路的關懷.各章旨要如下:第一章緒論,說明研究的主題與方法. 第二章以對痛苦的厭離之出離心為基點,就《中論》第十八品第一頌至第五頌說明離生死虛妄,入解脫真實的空義,顯示修行上迴向的歷程及龍樹的實踐理論與認識論,並證成無我即是空性. 第三章則以第十八品第六頌至第八頌說明覺悟者下迴向的主作為--說法行動所依憑依的空義,由此指出龍樹的方法論與語言理論,同時並證成教法是空. 第四章則以《中論》歸敬偈與第十八品的第九頌至第十二頌,說明上下迴向行動的存有論基礎:緣起思想. 並以此緣起是空歸結到一切法空,而於第十二頌指出佛教所給出的究極承諾,由此確定佛學作為一門宗教的救贖意義. 第五章結論. 篇末並附上《中論》第十八品梵漢對照,與吉藏及印順二家科判表.

This thesis is a interpretation of the eighteenth chapter of the Sanskrit text of Mulamadhyamakakarika. The chapter is the most important and cannotto be interpretated without the help of a commentary. So this thesis referred to the other commentaries on Mulamadhyamakakarika. And in the notes to this thesis, I have referred to or quoted from the other commentaries accessible to me.

The interpretation reflects the sandpoint of reading Nagarjuna. I read the eighteenth chapter of Mulamadhyamakakarika from the standpoint of the concept of Bodhisattva, and the scheme of this thesis reflects that reading.

I hope the reinterpretion will bring Mulamadhyamakakarika into contemporaryphilosophical discourse,and prove Nagarjuna's philosophy worthy of study anddiscussion.
