Abstract這是雙方面的分析和描述. 從一九九二至一九九四年所舉辦的七個佛教婦女靜修中心. 這靜修中心與其他佛教靜修中心的區別是有著本身獨特氣質的目標. 創辦者計劃提升身心雙方面的發展. 並且利用心理學的技巧而能融匯於佛教. 利用習講,討論來訓練如何與人相處之道.

對鍛鍊身體方面,採用多種辦法,如學習瑜咖,氣功,和一些基本的體操. 對修心方面,則有誦經,禪坐,和講經等的修持,以至行菩薩道. 同時也讓她們學習團體生活,互相幫忙洗碗盤,掃廁所,清潔園地等. 為真正能達到身心的調整,除要靠專門技巧,也需要集持長時期的警覺,方能有以致之.
