AbstractThis paper mainly deals with the interrelation among music,behaviour,system and culture. I want to explore there exist Confucian ethical principles and aesthetic ideas in the Book of Music.
This paper is divided into five parts:
To explain the part that music and art activities play in the course of human behaviour and inner feeling.
Redefine Confucianism's morality based on "Let the will be set on the path of duty; let every attainment inn what is good be firmly grasped; let perfect virtue be accorded with; let relaxation and enjoyment be found in the polite arts.
Analysing the propriety and music in an ideal life promoted by Confucianism.
Judging from the interrelationship among morality,music and art activities, the criterion of propriety and music are thus defined.
Conclusion. I use the process of epistemology to elucidate the viewpoints.
