Abstract | This work is a compendium of the teachings to be studied and practised by a bodhisattva, i.e. a practitioner of Mahayana Buddhism. It consists of three parts -- verses, quotations from sutras, and simple comments by the author -- and is a valuable source of material for our knowledge of the orthodox branch of late Indian Buddhism.
The Chinese translation gives Dharmakirti as the author, but according to the Sanskrit text it was composed by Santideva. |
