| Note | Cho Sungtaek (Jo, Seong-taek) is Professor in the Department of Comparative Studies, State University of New York at Stony Brook. He received his Ph.D. with a dissertation entitled "The Rise of Mahayana Buddhism: A Study of its Self-Identity and Institutionalization through Reconstructing the Biographical Process of the Buddha"from University of California at Berkeley in 1995.
