Abstract本文探討宗密批判儒、道,會通三教的理論問題。本文也對宗密及前佛教界使用「會」「和會」「會通」等詞,作了分析。〈原人論〉以真心作為會通三教之根據,依華嚴教理而成立開權顯實、以實會權的「全揀全收」模式。這比宗密前的三教調和論,更具深刻的形上學意義。宗密批判儒道時,涉及本體論與宇宙論的爭議。對此,當代學者頗有批評,本文有所回應。牟宗三先生有關佛教「體」「用」的論述,本文也試作回應。筆者認為〈原人論〉視真心為一切淨、染法之本體時,也難避免宗密所批評的儒道「一因」說的困難。可是,不論以〈原人論〉的真心思想或單以一般緣起法來會通三教,恐怕站在儒道二教的立場,都難以接受,這是三教會通的根本難題。
