Abstract擦擦是流傳於藏傳秘宗佛教的一種以香末或泥土模印的護身泥像，一般都奉置於葬人僧侶及牧區善男信女以銀絲寶石鑲嵌所精製名為「嘎烏」的銀龕寶盒中；印泥佛像本身製作精美，彩飾華麗，尤其材料背後隱藏許多神秘故事，如泥的成分內含香末或高僧的骨灰之類，造像過程儀軌複雜而嚴謹，與唐代善業泥造像及雕刻接軌等等，意義不凡；但泥佛易碎，存世不多，故少為人知。筆者研究文物美術史，曾寫就唐代「善業泥造像之研究」一書，頃接處王度先生所藏擦擦及「嘎烏」，製作均美，爰作判研寫就本文，期有助文物之探索焉。
