Abstract | Any religion can be found in one of two forms according to the understanding of the word "religion" it gives priority to. For one, there is only one religion proper, which is that of its community and which, in general,is culturally homogenous. The other takes religion as a spiritual path that enables individuals of any caste or creed to be more fully human. The first naturally compartmentalizes society opening the door to community-conflicts and even wars. The other brings people of all religious traditions closer to each other and so,is more conducive to peace and harmony in society. |
