Abstract王安石晚年信佛，舍宅剎寺，茹素持名，參究心要。他熱心注解佛經，闡發佛理。他在文字學名著《字說》(已散失)中，多以佛經語言解釋字義，他引禪入詩，以詩論禪。王氏現存的部分詩文，反映了一位傾心政治改革，而後又隱退田園、結緣佛門的古代士大夫的心聲與追求。
