| Abstract | 宋初九僧的事跡，一直是中國禪宗史、宋詩研究史上的謎障，不僅關涉「宋初三體」--白體、晚唐體、西昆體流行之先後順序，決定宋初詩風體派承傳之次第，更是有宋一代禪詩風格演變之初機。本文從現有《大藏經》之寥寥史料中，抉剔探索九僧之僧系背景，先確認其僧籍之寺裏，辨明地域分布；次從僧官系統考察出九僧之職系因緣，歸納出四僧屬於禪宗，三僧為天臺宗，二僧無法定位的宗門情況；最後對他們的生卒年作一交代，澄清千百年來模糊不清的九僧面目。
