Abstract高鶴年居士是近代佛教史上一個不朽的人物。在那個危如累卵、眾生朝不保夕的時代，他以百折不回的真心，悲天憫人的情懷，勇猛無畏的實踐，樹立了一個踐行大乘菩薩道的完美人格。他做了偉大的事業，但他心中沒有任何的功利心和分別心，他只是出於自己的宗教本懷而行事。如同《金剛經》所說：“如是滅度無量無數無邊眾生，實無眾生得滅度者”。他的整個生命是那樣的純粹和透徹，又是那樣的豐富和飽滿。他所達到的自由境界，是現代那些空頭哲學家所永遠不能想像的。《名山遊訪記》一書之所以不朽的意義，正在於它以精煉的文字，展示了一個菩薩的自由歷程。
