The Buddhist assimilation of science is a new form of the relation of Buddhism and science in the modern social and cultural background. Though the interpretation of modern science by Buddhist theory, Buddhism realizes its religious function in the scientific era. Moreover, the assimilation is a special cultural phenomenon and has certain cultural value. Correctly appraising the phenomenon helps understanding and gasping the essence of relation of Buddhism and science comprehensively.
