Abstract | 《西遊記》故事的由來演變,歷來依賴靜態發現之典籍文物證實,殆無疑義。但卻忽略了動態因素,尤其是歷代佛道論辯的影響。本文由距《西遊記》成書最近之忽必烈時代《至元辨偽錄》說起,以有關「戊午之辨」(1258)中的「佛道賭斗」事件作為大背景,漸次談及《朴通事諺解》中「東遲國鬥聖」及《西遊記》中佛道鬥法故事的形成,希望能為《西遊記》中發揮的想像力尋找和梳理源流。
The origination and development of the story in Journey to the West is generally thought to owe much to the staitic findings of ancient records and cultural relics to the neglect of dynamic factors, espcially the influence of the debates between Buddhist and Taoist ideas in history. This paper starts from the discuession of Zhiyuan Distinction from Falsehood in Kula Khan's time which was closest to it in time, goes on to base itself on the incident of betting of Buddhism ans Taoism in The Xuwu Debate (1258), continues with the discussion of the story of saint contest in Chchi told in the book of Piao Tongshi and finally comes to the story of power contest between Buddhism and Taoism in Journey to the West. It will also cover the influence of vernacular Chinese in Yuan Dynasty on the narrative style of Journey to the West, hoping to trace and locate the origin of the powerful imagination in it.
